Show me the money! errr show snow first
what a difference a day makes, part deux...yesterday so stormy and snowy
look at today! same view, you'd think you were on a different planet or something. Sigh I should be up on the ski hill but darn gotta work. This is so sad, in the city cannot complain, there's no where to go. Here can only look at the tourists in envy arrgggghhhhh....

Ok since I'm here in this country, might as well tell you more about this place and yes folks we are talking money first, Show me the Money!
Well more like coins rather. When I first got here, had to re-adapt to a whole new currency and of course we all know the coins are the hardest t differenciate. Notes have nice big easy to see numbers to see. Coins have itsy bitsy teenie weenie polka dot bi... oops I mean tiny numbers to see so makes it hard to tell which is which.

So we have the 2 dollar coin usually called a Toonie. Not sure why this is called like this, maybe because its a TWO nie?
The back has a silhouette of QE2.

Then there is the 1 dollar coin called a Loonie. Its call a Loonie cos' it's got a picture of a Loon. As you can (or may not) see a Loon is a duck. Looney Tunes and Daffy Duck anyone?
And the rest is called the same as American coins, size, shape, weight all similar only different picture. Just ask Simple American

The Quarter 25cents. This coin is interesting has it can have different images on it. This one of the Caribou/Elk/Reindeer (yes we have reindeer here and all the named are the same animal, different place different name) is the standard one.

The Dime 10 cent, (yes its this small compared to the others, I don't know why maybe Simple American can help)
The Nickle 5 cents. The Canadian National Pet oops.. I mean animal, the Beaver.
The Penny 1 cent.

I love the blue sky! It's so welcoming after a storm blast.
Nice photos of coins. Are the bills made of paper or plastic? Singapore's high on plastic notes now, esp over the CNY period. All SIN$2 were in plastic.

congkak is a traditional game here, played with a long wooden board carved with.. err, 20 holes I think... and marbles. can't remember how to play now.
