The jungles are disappearing

Very soon, I think scenes like this out of a relative's window in Choa Chu Kang will be gone with all the development going on, amazing we still have some tropical jungle here and there...

but to rant a bit.

Eating in Singapore is expensive!!!!!!
For the prices we paid last night at the resto, the portions were tiny, at least compared to Canada. We would have gotten a heaping portion (siew mai there is double the size here) like those you see at 10-course dinners for 10 ppl kinda size. (first big mistake in canada (and still occasionally do) was to order like here many different dishes then all cannot finish! but lucky can tar pau which is very common)

The 2 nights ago, I paid a visit to my long lost pet.
Her name is Snowball. My cousin has been looking after her since I'm gone and doggone, so damn funny, she managed to teach SB how to roll over and play dead! LOL but dang now she's pregnant, hence so fat, having been accidently put together with another male rabbit, later she might come over and join me, who knows....

OMG!!! I have never seen a Rabbit roll over and play dead before!!! LOLOLOL!!!! All the ones I have seen roll over are really dead.. They have a thing for rabbit meat here in Italy! In fact, that's what Italians cook for Christmas lunch rather than a turkey.. or at least at the Christmas lunches I have been to here.

ps: The ginseng is good? Any progress? .. Tell, tell.. post post, with more explicit pictures..

*poke poke poke at the rabbit...*
omg, u mean it's still alive??
it looks really dead from here!! LOL!

you're catching up with all those food pics too, huh! *grin*

First time to know that you can teach/train a rabbit.

Bravo Snowball!

Please give a hug from me to Snowball, ok :)

good trick, will teach my hairlen (upside down catfish) to do a roll over. it think it is a dog.

* 1 kg (about 2.25 lbs) rabbit cut up into pieces or about a pound of deboned rabbit meat.
* 30g (about 1 ounce) ghee or unsalted butter
* 3 large onions
* 25 mm (1 inch) piece of fresh ginger
* 3 teaspoons ground coriander powder (McCormicks have it in their gourmet
range)
* 2 cups chicken stock (an Australian cup = 250ml so this is about 2.1 US cups) - you can use stock cubes for this
* 1 teaspoon garam masala (you can make your own - there are recipes on the
net and McCormicks have it in their gourmet range)
* 250g (about 8 ounces) can or frozen sweet corn kernels
* salt

Method

* Ideally soak the rabbit for a few hours or overnight in water to cover with a
teaspoon of lemon juice added to whiten the meat.
* Drain off water and dry the rabbit pieces well
* Slice the onions and ginger very finely
* Heat ghee/butter and brown the rabbit pieces on high heat
* Reduce heat when browned and add onion and ginger and continue frying for a few more minutes
* Mix the ground coriander with the chicken stock and add to the pan with a good pinch of salt.
* Cover and simmer for about 2 hours or until the rabbit is tender. (If the liquid is reduced too much add more water as necessary.)
* Finally sprinkle in the garam masala and the sweet corn and simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes
* Serve with rice
