What Saturdays Are For
So it’s a Saturday. What shall I do?
Not many more days here left I think.
So I think I shall see the sights one last time
Shall do the circle loop, heading west, let see..
From Lake Louise, AB
Golden, BC
Radium Hot Springs, BC,
Invermere on The Lake, BC
And back to Lake Louise, AB
And DANG! The Trans Canada to Golden from LL is closed about 16km from Golden!!!
So near yet so far. There’s been a landslide and the road’s not passable.
So around I turn, back east, Golden will have to wait for another day.
And to Inveremere I head.
It’s a quaint little town on the shores of Lake Winderemere.
At a layover on the road to Invermere from Radium, I spotted this Daisy, poking up from the ground, how symbolic
Inveremere has the only beach around for miles, fresh water though.
Main street is kinda nice
But the hightlight of the day was definitely this, slurp...
And then on the way home
Why not a soak in a hot spring? Ahhhh
I covered about 450km today including the 130km detour turnaround, hmmm this is what Saturdays should be for, a great drive.

That's certainly one way to spend a Saturday! A Road trip!! Good for you! But it's got some sad undertones.. "see the sights one last time".. Aww.. Be Strong, Leap Tall, Faster than a Speeding Bullet..

round and round and round we go... the daisy and the ice cream. a great long drive .what more could you want? ;)

What a fruitful way to spend a Saturday! So much to see and enjoy - I really like the picture with the daisy. :)
