Just another saturday
Now that I've recovered from the shock surprise of getting a job.
Now it boils down to part 2. Getting a place to stay! But it was a lot easier than I thought, after hearing all the horror stories about getting a place.
Today again, popped into Calgary to check out some ads. First place was a dump.
Second place was nice, but but can't place my finger on it, looked like a frat house, so passed.
Third place after lunch was the only place I had a bit of trouble locating it. Me noted map reader and The-never-get-lost-guy (I can hear the sniggers),buts partly because the map I was looking at had that exact spot split into 4 different pages. Haiyoh, somemore doing my famous map read while you drive act. (Try doing that on a motorcycle, even more interesting!).
It was in the faarrrrrrr south of the city. First impressions, hmmm, too far away. Then I heard, park nearby, hmmm.. might be promising, somemore the landlord was very nice...will sleep on it.
On the way home, I spotted this train:
Leading to a place called Heritage Park, so I expected more old stuff, but instead I saw this!!!!:
A paddle steamer in the middle of nowhere, on a lake the size of Selatar reservoir..amazing, lots of sail boats too. This adds another nail to choice #3.
Btw I love trains, anything big, mechanical, yummmy.... this was me when I was 5, I just refused to leave the train station at Hatyai so many moons ago LOL...

by the way: what is 1.5hours? i don't want to think obscenely but that title is open to soooo many interpretation. *grins*
