food bliss..

got me my first real cuppa of kopi last night, none of that starbucks crap, this is the real deal, good ole coffeshop dark dark kopi

the today for lunch we went to the Old Kallang Airport Road food center..which was under renovation! but they set up a temporary center next to it!!! whew...

angel, here the malay spelling is otak and the chinese version is otah..go figure...

Lucky I viewed your pictures after lunch...but still looks damn appetising..

I never knew about Singapore fried hokkien mee until Jomel blogged about it. Then I went to Singapore and ordered it, now I'm hooked! Especially the sambal belacan....drooling...

Southern otak is very nice, they usually grill it-hor? And I've never had chinese-style sup kambing before, only the thick mamak-style. Must try the next time I go to Singapore. (tu tor thng is pig stomach soup)

I also had very nice oh-chien while I was there - the oysters are big and fat, not like the teeny-weeny ones here.

oh speaking of oysters, last night i had japanese food with some darn good oysters!! kinda like oh-chien but bigger!! sedap!

angel, angel, my squatting roomie...got locked out of the house when the owner disappeared to Maldives and you were flown away by FF. Couldn't speak Italian, got lost, so couldn't come home. Luckily managed to stumble my way back, and am now sufficiently recovered to stalk them bloggers again...
